We know life gets hectic, so we’ve put together this information to make your trip preparation easy and stress-free. Here, you'll find details about your journey, travel documents, airport procedures, and top tips from our expert Travel Directors to ensure a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
When deciding how much money to bring, consider expenses such as meals not included in your trip, like lunches and drinks, optional experiences and sightseeing tours, shopping, tips, and incidental costs such as laundry or dry cleaning.
If you plan to exchange money before your trip, it’s a good idea to get smaller denominations, as many local shops and restaurants may not accept larger bills.
Most major credit cards are accepted worldwide, but some places might have a minimum charge for card payments. It’s also increasingly common for credit card payments to require identification, so carry your passport or driver’s license. Visa, American Express, and MasterCard are broadly accepted in most shops and restaurants.
Please refer to our Luggage Allowance information.
The standard allowance includes one main case and one piece of hand luggage per guest.
Main case: Maximum 23kg (50lbs) and dimensions up to 76cm x 45cm x 25cm (30” x 18” x 10”).
Hand luggage: Maximum 30cm x 28cm x 14cm (12” x 11” x 6”), to fit under the coach seat or in the small overhead compartment. Telescopic handles or wheels are not allowed.
To ensure your suitcase can be safely handled, we recommend you check its weight before traveling and ensure you can lift it comfortably.
Baggage allowances can differ by airline, so check with your carrier for specific details. For internal flights in Asia and Egypt tours, the allowance is usually 20kg (44lbs).
East Africa safari vehicles require soft-sided bags or medium-sized suitcases due to space constraints.

As a solo traveler, you have two room choices:
Solo room share: You’ll be paired with another guest of the same gender in a twin room, with no additional solo supplement. This option isn’t available for trips in Asia, Africa, or the Eastern Mediterranean.
Solo room: If you prefer more privacy, you can choose a solo room, which comes with an additional solo supplement and is subject to availability.
Your departure: Arrive at the airport at least two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight. Allow extra time during busy periods or at airports with increased security, as you may encounter longer lines.
Airport check-in: All travelers, including children, need a machine-readable passport valid for six months beyond your trip’s return date and any necessary visas. Ensure you have the correct documents for entering and exiting any countries during your journey.
Airport security: You will go through security before flying. Restrictions on carry-on items can vary, so check the latest security guidelines before traveling. Security procedures may differ between airports, so consult your departure airport’s website for specific details.
Guests can adjust their travel plans with confidence up until the final payment is due. However, if you are within the cancellation period, extra charges may apply.
Changes are subject to rate differences and availability.
Please be aware that additional fees for amendments may apply.
When checking Dates and Prices for your trip, you'll see some dates labeled as 'Definite Departure'. This means the departure has reached the minimum number of bookings required and will proceed unless exceptional circumstances arise.
Guest numbers can change, so exact figures aren’t shown. However, updates are made regularly to reflect definite departures.
You can book a date not yet marked as definite, but if it doesn't reach the minimum number of guests, you'll be offered alternative dates or a full refund.
We will inform you of any changes to your departure, whether it's definite or not.
If you booked through a Travel Agent, reach out to them if you’re unable to travel.
